Materials:
To make a Fingering weight shawl of many different colors use:
1 oz / 120 yd rainbow dyed
& 4—1 oz / 120 yd of 2-4 solid colors. This makes a 54" x 27" shawl.
You can make it with less color variation, but it is best to have an
odd number of yarns.
-OR- Mixed/Larger Shawl-8 oz of various colors and weights
(Makes 65” wide x 30”)
Needles: US Size 3 or 6 for worsted.
Gauge: 6-7 / 5-6 stitches per inch.
Other Stuff You Will Need: down time, 2 stitch markers, daring color curiosity-try different colors together, knit a few rows … if you don’t like it, rip it out and try another color...experiment boldly, that is where the magic lives.
