To make Hightop booties You Need:
- Yarn: approximately 86 (110 for #2) yards of worsted weight wool. Multicolored booties yardage:
Size 1: sole-28yds, sides- 22yds, tongue-18yds, heelback-18yds
Size 2: sole-36yds, sides- 28yds, tongue-22yds, heelback-24yds
The booties pictured were made with 55% mohair/45%wool blend that was combined with a very fine strand of 2 ply wool. *Any animal fiber such as wool, alpaca, mohair, etc. which has not been treated or superwashed will work. DK and Sport will make smaller booties, different fibers and yarn weights yield surprising results.
